Mrs B’s teaches Year 1. She has a young son and enjoys outdoor activities, music and sport. She is often seen joining in an early morning game of “it” or “grandmother’s footsteps” with the children!

Nursery
Mrs Rossiter has 3 children, (1 son and twin daughters), that are now all grown up! At home she has 2 cats called Tessa and Molly. When they were kittens they visited the Nursery and like it very much! Mrs Rossiter enjoys walking with her husband, swimming with Mrs Marshmallow, and dancing with Mrs Notley our dance teacher.

Nursery
Miss Hall is currently studying a Foundation Degree in Early Years with a view to becoming a teacher. She loves wearing her wellies in the garden and being in the Forest School.

Nursery
Arabella has worked as a Reception and Year 1 teacher in a number of Preparatory Schools prior to taking five years off to have her family. Mother of three young children, she has now returned to the classroom and is currently teaching in the Nursery. In her spare time, she enjoys ‘muddy boot walks’, picking blackberries and baking cakes with the children.

Reception Class Teacher
Miss Thomas is the youngest member of our teaching team, and we have a time keeping up with her! She has a background in child psychology, and has even had one of her papers published! Miss Thomas enjoys her daily singing in Letters and Sounds, and always has a plethora of fun activities to hand for all her children to enjoy.

Reception Classroom Assistant & After School Club
Lucy is a teaching assistant in Reception and is also our After School Club Assistant. She is currently studying for the Diploma in Child and Young Children’s Workforce at Yeovil College. Lucy is a mother of five, and a very young granny to two grandchildren! Lucy is also a keen artist.

Year 1 Teacher
Mrs Wilson used to ask which window we should go through when she presented “Play School”. She now teaches through the “Arched Window” of Year one. She has worked for many years with under sixes and there are few things we’ve not made with paint, card and “a bit of sticky tape”. She starts the day with a swim and is part of the “Musical Story Time” Company in her spare time.

Year 1 Classroom Assistant
Mrs Lifton enjoys sharing her love of music with the children. She accompanies our hymns and runs Recorder Club.

Year 2 Teacher
Mrs Moxham has been at Port Regis for 12 years. Jane loves Art, and parents are often amazed by the outstanding artwork that decorates the walls of the Year 2 classroom. She is obsessive about cycling and swimming, and does both everyday.

Year 2 Classroom Assistant
Heather Marsh is our Year 2 Classroom Assistant. She has worked in the Pre-Prep for nearly 14 years, and in that time has worked with all our year groups. Mrs Marsh is affectionately known as Mrs Marshmallow by the children, but shhh…. it’s a secret!

Music
Mrs House has taught music for 16 years. She is a trained music therapist and co-writes introductions to classical music for children. She believes children learn through having FUN!

French - Years 1 & 2
Emily went to school in Scotland at Ardvreck and then Glenalmond, where she was an Art Exhibitioner, before taking a BA in French, with Spanish subsidiary, at Durham. She did her PGCE at Goldsmiths College, University of London. Emily started at Port Regis in September 2008. While also an E form teacher, she teaches French and Spanish in the Lower School. Emily is a keen sportswoman and holds coaching qualifications in both Hockey and Rugby.
French - Reception
Mathilde joins us as the MFL Assistante for the year. She is currently studying English Literature and Civilisation at the University of Rouen, and hopes in due course to become a fully-fledged English teacher.

Dance
Mrs Notley has worked at Port Regis since 1997. She is married to Hugh and has two sons. She loves dance and everything associated with it, but most of all she loves the happiness dance brings to everyone’s life.

After School & Holiday Club
Kerry not only works at Port Regis, but also with Special Needs children at a Blandford Nursery. She is NVQ Level 3 qualified in Play work, and Early Years Care work and Education. She enjoys swimming and horse riding.
